This study aims to explore the concept of akhlaq as the core of Islamic teachings by examining the perspectives of classical and contemporary scholars and its relevance in addressing modern moral challenges. Using a qualitative approach in the form of library research, the analysis was carried out through three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and thematic-conceptual conclusion drawing. The content analysis technique was applied to scholarly journals and the thoughts of prominent scholars such as Al-Ghazali and Ibn Miskawayh (classical) and Quraish Shihab, Buya Hamka, and Syed Naquib Al-Attas (contemporary). The findings reveal that akhlaq is an inner manifestation emerging from a well-trained soul, reflecting the quality of faith and serving as a primary goal of Islamic law. Key concepts such as taqwa, ihsan, adab, and husnul khuluq form an integrative moral framework encompassing relationships with God, fellow human beings, and nature. Akhlaq plays a vital role in shaping a complete Muslim personality and a civilized society.
Ahmad Mahfuz Muhammad Ihsanul Arief Ahmad Khairiyannor Copyright (c) 2026 2026-04-06 2026-04-06 26 1 1 15 10.47732/alfalahjikk.v26i1.1085 MOTIVASI BERAGAMA DALAM AGAMA ISLAM https://www.staialfalahbjb.ac.id.203-175-9-176.cpanel.site/ejurnal_3125/index.php/alfalahjikk/article/view/1098
Human spiritual life depends on religious motivation, which directs them to behave in accordance with divine teachings. The purpose of this study is to examine the true nature of religious motivation, the Islamic psychological perspective on motivation, and the classification of religious motivations found in Muslims. The method used was a study of religious literature, including literature on the psychology of religion, as well as the text of the Quran. The results indicate that the Islamic religious motivation stems from human nature to seek protection and tranquility in Allah SWT. This motivation is divided into intrinsic and extrinsic aspects, and is influenced by elements of the physical, spiritual, and spiritual dimensions. Therefore, strong religious motivation serves as a primary driver for maintaining consistent worship and building positive character amidst the challenges of the times.
Fadliyanur Copyright (c) 2026 Fadliyanur https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-04-08 2026-04-08 26 1 17 27 10.47732/alfalahjikk.v26i1.1098 RELASI MAQASHID SYARIAH DAN INTERAKSI SOSIAL DI MASYARAKAT PESANTREN https://www.staialfalahbjb.ac.id.203-175-9-176.cpanel.site/ejurnal_3125/index.php/alfalahjikk/article/view/1097
This study aims to analyze the relationship between maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah and social interaction within the pesantren community in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, from the perspective of Islamic sociology of law. The research employs an empirical qualitative approach through field observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the principles of protecting religion (ḥifẓ al-dīn), life (ḥifẓ al-nafs), intellect (ḥifẓ al-‘aql), lineage (ḥifẓ al-nasl), and property (ḥifẓ al-māl) are internalized within the social structure of the pesantren. The authority of the kiai, the educational system, dormitory regulations, and the tradition of deliberation reflect the operationalization of maqāṣid as a living norm (living law) that fosters social cohesion and community stability. The moral and ethical development of students is shaped through value habituation, exemplary leadership, and moral legitimacy rather than coercive dominance. Furthermore, the hierarchical structure of the pesantren cannot be reduced to modern feudalism; instead, it functions as a pedagogical and integrative mechanism that maintains social balance. This study contributes to strengthening maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah as an analytical paradigm of social praxis and enriches the discourse of Islamic sociology of law within contemporary pesantren communities.
Wahyu Fitrianoor Ahmad Fauzan Arifin Copyright (c) 2026 Wahyu Fitrianoor, Ahmad Fauzan Arifin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-04-09 2026-04-09 26 1 29 49 10.47732/alfalahjikk.v26i1.1097 PERAN GURU AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER ISLAMI GENERASI Z DI SMK NEGERI 1 KERTAK HANYAR https://www.staialfalahbjb.ac.id.203-175-9-176.cpanel.site/ejurnal_3125/index.php/alfalahjikk/article/view/1086
The formation of Islamic character among Generation Z has become a significant concern in contemporary education, particularly amid rapid digital technological advancement and globalization. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers hold a strategic position in fostering students’ Islamic character at the secondary school level. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in shaping the Islamic character of Generation Z students at SMK Negeri 1 Kertak Hanyar. The research employed a qualitative approach with a field research design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that Islamic Religious Education teachers perform multiple roles as educators, instructors, mentors, trainers, advisors, and role models in the process of character formation. Despite challenges such as students’ limited engagement in religious learning and the influence of social media, teachers consistently apply relevant and contextual instructional strategies to ensure that Islamic values are internalized and practiced in students’ daily lives.
Anis Ridha Wardati Auliya Fathul Jannah Copyright (c) 2026 Anis Ridha Wardati, Auliya Fathul Jannah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-04-14 2026-04-14 26 1 51 62 10.47732/alfalahjikk.v26i1.1086
